Dream Preparatory Academy, located in Greenville, SC, is a unique educational organization that offers a new teaching style to break traditional barriers of learning repetitive lessons in a prepared routine environment. Our goal is to create a more interactive, hands-on learning environment that is technology-focused and can integrate classroom-to-home management. Our founder, Tempestt G. Dozier, uses her experience working with older and younger children on a one-on-one basis to offer Montessori education and early learning STEAM classes for infants, toddlers, and pre-primary ages up to 12 years old. Lead Teacher
Role Description: We are looking for a full-time Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans and delivering effective educational programs that promote intellectual, moral, and social development for our students. This is an on-site role located in Greenville, SC.
Qualifications
Strong background in Lesson Planning and Education
Excellent Communication and Teaching skills
Experience with Training and mentoring staff members
Ability to work collaboratively with parents, colleagues, and students to promote learning and development.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Experience working with Montessori and/or STEAM education is a plus
2 years experience preferred but not required
Associate's Degree or CDA Certification.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or related field
Certification in Education or related fields is a plus
Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities is a plus
Must pass a Background Check

Assistant Teacher

Duties may include working with small groups of children, preparing class materials, observing and monitoring children's behavior, and communicating with parents and other staff members.
Qualifications
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, although some college coursework and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience working with young children is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping children learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
Montessori and/or STEAM training and experience are preferred but not required.
Must be willing to undergo a background check and meet all state licensing requirements.

Assistant Teacher- Per Diem

Per Diem Position: $15-$18 hourly
Internships
What do we need?
We are looking for an individual to join People Serving People in a part-time unpaid internship role. This internship is flexible and requires only between 10-15 hours per week during school hours Monday through Friday. We offer Spring, Summer, and Fall internships going from 8 weeks to 12 weeks.
Job Description: The Early Childhood Development Intern works with the Lead and Assistant Teachers to provide a warm and loving atmosphere for children ages 2 to 5 years enrolled with Dream Preparatory Academy INC. Teachers and interns work together to support children's academic and social development in our Montessori & STEAM Program. Interns must be able to work in a team setting with patience, enthusiasm, and respect for children.
Responsibilities for Early Childhood Development Intern:
Encourage children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development skills through positive interactions.
Assist teachers in implementing a curriculum based on Social/Emotional skills and Literacy.
Assist with the basic needs of children.
Follow all center policies and guidelines.
Work with children experiencing difficulty as assigned.
Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Teacher.
Coursework in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field preferred.
Experience working with diverse populations and young children preferred.
